Fabric CJ - Next entry

My latest entry for the fabric CJ - this is for Gill's CJ (Wisher on UKS) I love the fact that this CJ has no theme at all - we can do what we want! I also know that some of the group will not be turning their final CJ into a book, some are talking about making it into a wall hanging - which I think is a fab idea!
This month I decided to go with one of my favourite colours - PINK - and seeing as October is Breast Cancer Awareness month - I came up with the Think Pink theme. My Nan had breast cancer and I had a lump removed when I was 17. I also have a friend who is currently receiving treatment for Breast cancer and I think she is being very brave and is fighting it everyday along with the side effects of chemo - so this CJ entry is especially for Theresa too!
The page is using hessian fabric (which is a bit of a pain to work with!!) I have sewn the pink quilting fabric on using the sewing machine and the Think Pink title was printed on fabric using my computer printer (also the same for the photo on the reverse). The flower is an iron-on motive I found in Hobbycraft which I knew would look perfect on this page! I have hand sewn some beads on the flowers as I do like a bit of bling and sparkle on my scrapbooking pages, so why should the fabric CJ be any different!!! The circle journal stamp on the reverse is from Catslife Press and has been stamped on the fabric using stazon ink. I have hand sewn around the edges using embroidery silk in a blanket stitch. As always thank you for looking!

Isle of Wight!

Another wonderful weekend at the Isle of Wight - we are so lucky that Pete's parents have a caravan at Bembridge, the boys love going over there and we enjoy the break. It is the perfect place for photos and I get to do some card making too!
Sam on the beach - we had a couple of sunny days and one day with rain!
Jack - who is great at posing for the camera - gotta love him!!

Pete holding Jack up by one hand!!! ( My hubby is so strong!!!!;o) )

Another Wilkins Family photo - gotta love the timer button! - I always take it here on the beach as I have the perfect rock for sitting the camera on!!!
We had a great time and Pete's parents joined us on Saturday to close up the caravan ready for the winter, so now we are all rested and recharged ready to face half term!!!!

A few cards

A few cards I have made - Both my Nephew and my FIL celebrate big birthdays this month - Jason was 18 - I used SK8R BOY Sugar Nellie stamp, star and 18 cut on the Cricut and the star was embossed using the happy birthday cuttlebug folder, the background PP is Basic Grey. My FIL was 65! The Grandad card is the pirate stamp from Sugar Nellie and the ribbon is American crafts, the sentiment stamp is Stampin Up! Dad card is a Magnolia stamp - Edwin walking. All the stamps are coloured in using Pro markers. I get my magnolia stamps from here and here and the sugar nellie stamps you can get here

A Simple LO

There is nothing like doing summer LO on miserable days! These photos were taken of Jack in August on one of the few warm sunny days we had this summer!
I have used Bazzill cardstock and cut the title using Opposites Attact on the Cricut (thanks Clare - think I will put this cartridge on my xmas list!) The PP and the stickers I have had for years as they were old Creative Memories stash! The buttons are Shellz buttons. I have used the Creative Memories wavy cutter to cut the paper, photos and cardstock. I was thinking if it needed anything else but I have left it for now.
