More card making!

More card making using Sugar Nellie stamps, the images are coloured with pro-markers and prisma pencils. Scraps of cardstock have been embossed using the cuttlebug embossing folders, PP, ribbon, pins and gems all from my stash. Sentiment is from Catslife Press
The above is a 5oth birthday card for my friend Jane. She is off to St Andrews to play golf for the weekend!
The above card is for Steph - its her birthday today - Happy Birthday Steph! The sentiment is from Stampin Up! and the flower is a Prima Painterly. The dark pink cardstock is Love Elsie.

And a LO - sorry I can't rememeber where I got the PP from and the picture really doesn't do it justice as it is embossed and glittery:) The chipboard letters 'Snow' have been painted and made sparkly by using Stampin Up! Dazzling Diamond and the glazed with Glossy Accents, the 'boots' are AC foam thickers again glazed with Glossy Accents. Snowflakes cut on the Cricut and the jounalling box is a stamp from Catslife press as before. Photo of my Ugg boots in the snow that we had earlier in the month!

(2)My family, (3)Mummy's arm (still a huge favourite esp at bedtime!), (4) Nintendo Ds and Gameboy - needs to be surgically removed at times!! (5) Pokemon on the Ds and the TV, (6) Sky TV - Pokemon, Dinosaur King, Avatar, Galactic Football and many more! Scrap Your Day!

Sorry it has taken me so long but here are my SYD pages so far! I started in July (most people started in April) so it was the first week of the school holidays. The routine photos I take every month are meals, time I get up and go to bed, view from my window, self portrait and my feet!! You may laugh but I had a friend tell me - you can always tell the weather by what sarah is wearing on her feet!! Which is either sandles/flip flops and normally straight into boots for the winter!! 25th July '08 - beautiful sunshine!(do you remember what that is??) Also the time I went to bed is 2.15am because I was working a night shift, I seem to remember I was up again 30 mins later!

25th Aug '08 - Holiday on the Isle of Wight - so the view was out of the caravan window, and the photo of my feet was me paddling in the sea!
25th Sept '08 - back to the ole routine of school run and life in general. Also today I looked after Toby and collected Oliver from school - so 2 school runs!!!

25th Oct '08 - Half Term and back at the Isle of Wight for a few days - I was also busy Xmas card making!! And notice already its October and the boots were out!!!
25 Nov '08 - and not a good day and not many photos - I do remember having car problems, so spent most of the day at the garage!
25th Dec '08 - Xmas Day - need I say more?? forgot to take a photo of xmas dinner!!! - and on my feet - Slippers :-)
25th Jan '09 - One of my fav pages as this show a typical Sunday in our house - of rest, relaxation, and being together - a comfy clothes day - including my slippers!!!
Thanks for looking and its not long until February's SYD which is a Wednesday and I'll be at work - so it could be interesting trying to take some pics!!!!

Basic Grey Kit of the Month - January

Those that know me well, know that I am a big Basic Grey fan, so when Katie at Cre8tive told me about an exclusive Basic Grey kit only available from Cre8tive I immediately said yes to the kit without even looking at it!! I am so glad I did - I loved it and the LO by Kelly Goree was fab - her instructions were easy to follow and I loved her page so much I scraplifted the whole idea!

"10 Favourites" using Basic Grey Ambrosia (which has butterflies - another favourite of mine!)
The journalling reads - My 10 Favourites at 36 - (1) My boys are my favourite - all 3 of them (this photo was taken at the IOW on the beach, another fav!) (2) My Camera - never without it! (3) Scrapbooking!! (4) I love the summer (5) A good cup of Yorkshire tea (6) A good book - Danielle Steel is my fav author (7) Charmed on TV (along with Bones, Lost, CSI etc) (8) Choc!! (9) My Furbaby Whiskers ( and Ollie too!) (10) My Troll beads - I wear them everyday, they are all special to me.
Close up of the butterflies and the title, the 'a' and 'i' are done by masking and chalk inks then removing the letters and replacing the red letters.
The butterflies are all cut out by hand and the swirls are Basic Grey rub-ons
The Butterflies are attached to the page with Diamond glaze and are only attached by the centre body to give the wings some dimension and look like they are flying off the page :-)With the left over bits of kits I made 2 cards as I have 2 friends moving house very soon - I have used 2 stamped images by Elisabeth Bell which are Sugar Nellie stamps - from Funky Kits - I have coloured them in using a combination of Pro-markers and Prisma Pencils (blended with sansador).

The sentiment is from Stampin Up!, flowers are prima and is finished off with a heart pin from Heidi Grace.

This LO is from the SLYMI challenge on UKS/Shimelle - scrap with black and white. Photo's taken of Toby and Jenson (don't belong to me they belong to 2 very good friends!), taken on Toby's 1st Birthday where they played reallt well together until Steph had a cuddle with Toby and Jenson wasn't too impressed with his Mum cuddling someone else so he decided to push him over!!! Thanks to Steph for coming up with the title for this LO!!
I have used Bazzill bling cardstock, junkitz papers, MM large red grommets, title is cut out of foam using QK Finale alpha and Sizzix Nouveau alpha.
