Birthday Card - UKS challenge Wk 6
UKS card challenge was to use Patterned paper/hot pink and butterflies - its not quiet 'hot' pink but everything else meets the challenge. You can also see why I don't like doing boy cards, as girl cards are so much more fun to do!
My butterfly was from my stash - I actually think it was my friend Jane that gave this to me years ago!!
The tags and stamps are both Stamping up - Teeny Tiny Wishes and Tag punch, the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
The card blank is a Papermania Stepper Kraft card, papers are Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby
The image is from Saturated Canary, these are just fab - I was introduced to these images by my Sister who is on the Design team - I love them - please go over to her blog and check out her cards - they are awesome! I decided to be a bit different and print the image on to SU crumb cake (Kraft to most people!), and I have to say I really love the effect.
All the metal embellies are Tim Holtz.
Prima flower and lots of pearl swirls
The image was coloured in using Prisma pencils - I love the way the white pencil shows on the Kraft card. All the paper and cardstock has been distressed using TH Distressing inks - Old Paper/Tattered Rose/Seedless Preserves. The edge of the images has been stamped using the little floral stamp in the Tiny Tags stamp set, with Gathered Twigs ink.
I did spend hours making this card - but the recipient loves my cards so much I knew it would be so appreciated - and that is the joys about making the cards - so they are loved! Most of you know scrapbooking is my first love - I only really dabble a bit in the card making - just wish there was more hours in the day to do both!
Thanks for looking
