Basic Grey Kit of the Month - January
Those that know me well, know that I am a big Basic Grey fan, so when Katie at Cre8tive told me about an exclusive Basic Grey kit only available from Cre8tive I immediately said yes to the kit without even looking at it!! I am so glad I did - I loved it and the LO by Kelly Goree was fab - her instructions were easy to follow and I loved her page so much I scraplifted the whole idea!
"10 Favourites" using Basic Grey Ambrosia (which has butterflies - another favourite of mine!)

The journalling reads - My 10 Favourites at 36 - (1) My boys are my favourite - all 3 of them (this photo was taken at the IOW on the beach, another fav!) (2) My Camera - never without it! (3) Scrapbooking!! (4) I love the summer (5) A good cup of Yorkshire tea (6) A good book - Danielle Steel is my fav author (7) Charmed on TV (along with Bones, Lost, CSI etc) (8) Choc!! (9) My Furbaby Whiskers ( and Ollie too!) (10) My Troll beads - I wear them everyday, they are all special to me.
Close up of the butterflies and the title, the 'a' and 'i' are done by masking and chalk inks then removing the letters and replacing the red letters.
The butterflies are all cut out by hand and the swirls are Basic Grey rub-ons
The Butterflies are attached to the page with Diamond glaze and are only attached by the centre body to give the wings some dimension and look like they are flying off the page :-)With the left over bits of kits I made 2 cards as I have 2 friends moving house very soon - I have used 2 stamped images by Elisabeth Bell which are Sugar Nellie stamps - from Funky Kits - I have coloured them in using a combination of Pro-markers and Prisma Pencils (blended with sansador).
Thanks as always for looking - Love Sarah xxx
